Browsing Posts in 2011 Cleveland National Air Show

The first week of September has always been an exciting week in Cleveland. The Browns are getting ready for another NFL campaign and the annual Cleveland National Air Show takes place. This year’s headliners are the Ambassadors in Blue, The USAF Thunderbirds!   Have been receiving a good bit of email regarding when the practices take place for the air show. While there is no set schedule, Friday before the show is the best time to catch something buzzing around the downtown area.

Last night I stumbled onto the YouTube Channel for the USAF Thunderbirds. Was already following them on Twitter, never thought to look on YouTube until they started tweeting video from a past air show. For sure give them a follow on YouTube and check these videos out as a preview to what the city of Cleveland will see in less than two weeks ! Enjoy ! Just over one month to go until this years Cleveland National Air Show ! One of the larger shows on the United States air show circuit, Cleveland will again have something for everyone, unless you don’t like historical aircraft or front line military aircraft. This year’s show will be held September 3,4 and 5th, Labor Weekend. You can purchase tickets in advance via their website, mail, or at your local Discount Drug Mart store.

Air show season is nearly upon us in the Northeast, Great Lakes area so I sat down and drew up a list of shows I will be covering. Then a few days later due to family commitments,  I revised the list. This year the slogan is “Less is More”. I only am committing to three air show events this year, with the hopes I can squeeze in one or two more, but that is looking doubtful. So without further ado, here’s the list:
