Entrance to Red Rock Casino in Summerlin, Nevada June 2011. Station Casinos‘ Red Rock Casino is an amazingly beautiful resort, spa, casino and now concert venue! Have visited the property many times on many trips to Vegas. This time was surprisingly the first time at night. Strange to say the least! Here are some photos of the front, West Charleston Blvd. side, of the property. The Las Vegas Strip is just a small, small taste of what Las Vegas has to offer. Communities like Henderson, Summerlin, and Lake Las Vegas hold many, many interesting and beautiful buildings, scenery and historical locations. While driving to Red Rock Casino, I spotted this wonderful mission type architecture on St. Joesph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church just outside of Summerlin on Sahara Blvd. West. Enjoy ! I will admit it took until my third trip to realize this. Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area is located a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip in Summerlin, Nevada. It’s more or less Red Rock Casino’s neighbor ! The park offers many, many photo ops as well as hiking, rock climbing, bird watching, biking and so much more.

One of the most commonly asked questions I get via email is “Where is a good, non-strip location for photos in Vegas?” Where else do good blog posts come from but from the readers of the blogs ! So here begins a few locations to get great photos that will make for everlasting memories of your special event.
